Engineers and scientists take on the world's toughest challenges every day. Their discoveries improve the lives of people all over the world. Who are these engineers and scientists? Where do they work? What do they do? You can learn all that and more!

• Discover how interesting and fun math and science can be
• Form personal contacts with women working in traditionally male occupations
• Learn about career opportunities for women in mathematics, engineering, science, and technology
• Meet other young women interested in science and math

 
What Will We Do?
The conference begins with an opening welcome and keynote presentation. The rest of the day is devoted to workshops and career panel. Each workshop is a small class or discussion led by women who have careers in engineering, mathematics, science, or technology. You will attend two workshops, a keynote speech, and a career panel.  LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!

Who is Invited?
Young women in grades 7 and 8 with accompanying adults/sponsors who are interested in mathematics and science.

Enrollment is limited. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis (based on receipt of registration and payment).

NOTE:  For each 15 students participating, one adult supervisor is required.  The school or teacher is responsible for transportation. Check-in is from 8:00 am to 8:45 am at Castleman Hall, 400 W. 10th Street, Rolla, Missouri.

Fees & Registration
$12 per student
Teachers will be responsible for collecting fees ($12 per student) and completed registration forms from interested students. Once all registrations and payments are collected, please mail them as a group to:

Cancellations will be accepted with a full refund by October 30, 2009.  After this date, only substitutions will be allowed.
