GRE/GMAT FAQs

GRE/GMAT scores are not needed for certificate applicants. Students using the certificate program as a gateway to a master’s degree do not need to submit GRE/GMAT scores if they successfully complete the certificate program with a B or better in each certificate course. Students applying to a PhD or DE program DO need to submit GRE scores, even if they start with a certificate.

Students applying directly to a master’s program do need to submit GRE/GMAT scores. There are some exceptions to this rule for alumni of S&T, UMR or MSM. Check with Global Learning to see if the department you're interested in makes GRE/GMAT exceptions for alumni.

The GMAT stands for “Graduate Management Admission Test”. Typically GMAT scores are used for admission to business-related programs. Students applying for the MBA or IST program may submit either GRE or GMAT scores.

GRE and GMAT official scores expire 5 years after the year in which you tested.

GRE Test Center Code: 6876
GMAT School Code: RWQ

Students applying for our MBA or IST programs can submit either GRE or GMAT scores. Students applying for any of our other programs should take the GRE (unless they are starting with a certificate, some programs make exceptions for alumni meeting minimum GPA requirements as well).

Not at this time.

Some departments do allow alumni who earned a certain cumulative GPA to apply directly into a master’s program without submitting GRE/GMAT scores. Check with Global Learning to see if the department you're interested in makes GRE/GMAT exceptions for alumni.
